Important update: China's "Two Sessions" coverage and newsletter distribution
Follow Beijing Scroll for updates on China's key events and policies
Hello! Today's newsletter is a preview. As you may know, China's "Two Sessions," the annual meetings of the top legislature and top political advisory body, which are the most important annual political gatherings in China, will begin in just two weeks. During this event, key announcements will be made regarding China’s economic growth targets, defense budget, technological innovation strategies, and more.
Since 2022, I have been providing the fastest and most up-to-date coverage of the Two Sessions through email, including the full text of the government work report, speeches by Chinese leaders on diplomacy, economic policy, and technology, as well as breaking news.
This year, I will continue to cover the Two Sessions as a registered journalist. In the coming week, I will provide an overview of the five key points to watch for in this year’s Two Sessions. During the Two Sessions, which are expected to last about one week, I will share key documents with analysis as soon as they are released. These updates will be shared through Ginger River Review's sister publication, Beijing Scroll. Going forward, I will be merging most of the content related to China’s key policy documents, speeches by Chinese leaders, and critical issues such as the Taiwan question, China-U.S. relations, and China-EU relations into the Beijing Scroll publication.
If you are already a subscriber to Ginger River Review and wish to continue receiving updates through Beijing Scroll, no action is required. However, if you no longer wish to receive these newsletters, please reply to this email to let me know. If I don’t hear from you within a week, I will assume you wish to continue receiving the above-mentioned content through Beijing Scroll.
For the benefit of publication, Beijing Scroll offers greater advantages in terms of internet search visibility, as the term “Beijing” is closely associated with China in search results. This association is particularly significant as AI models continue to enhance search algorithms.
So far, Beijing Scroll has published 50 newsletters, with notable pieces including:
