Also how is there a link between porn and questioning their own gender identity? (p.s. there isn't and the questioning of their own gender identity starts at younger ages, ages before they would have been exposed to porn, also porn is highly restricted in China)
This difference in how transgenderism is dealt with can be explained by how different the Chinese and American systems are.
In America, most transgender people have some kind of childhood trauma and develop a reverse gender fetish later into life into adulthood because of that trauma and widespread porn addiction. Only a minority are people who legitimately have conflicting gender and sex genetics. The issue has become very trendy and fashionable too which further complicates things.
Its the complete opposite, they are traumatized due to the environment around them not accepting them for who they are rather than being trans because they are traumatized.
