Nice. I doubt this is being considered by policy decision makers in China, but one area of “reform” is immigration policy. Why let the West grab the best and brightest that the Workd has to offer by opening up their higher education system to the world, and allowing skilled workers to settle?
I hope one day the youth of Africa, Asia and Latin America will go to Chinese universities for studies and be allowed to settle in China if they find jobs there. That would be a radical kind of reform and opening up!
I guess the first tier cities where the immigrant would like to settle down is still a little bit too occupied by domestic talents. Maybe when the second tier cities are more developed and the population, especially the young ones are even spread in those first tier and second tier cities, it would be more easier for the country to embrace immigrants
